Belgium’s Musti, who will be taking part in Eurovision 2024, has revealed new details of his upcoming Eurovision song.
Musti attended the OGAE Belgium Annual General Meeting and took questions from fans, where he was able to reveal details about the song for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest.
He began by talking about his joy at being chosen to represent Belgium at Eurovision 2024, and gave an update on his current position on the song and performance.
“It’s a bit of an absurd experience, but I’m very happy to have been chosen…” I’m working on the project every day. I’m really interested in visuals right now, but it’s really sad that I can’t come here and talk about anything…”
Musti also spoke about the moment he was approached to represent Belgium in 2024:
“It was on the set of Season 1 of Drag Race Belgium. It was early in the morning and I was putting on my makeup and I was still a little sleepy… and Sandrine Rousteing, General Director of Content at RTBF, asked me to put on my makeup. I asked the Belgian national team if he wanted to. Suddenly I woke up! It didn’t take long for me to say yes.”
He then went on to share new details about his song’s personal connections and experiences.
“This song was composed together with the team and is a Belgian-Belgian song with residents of Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels.” [representing all regions of Belgium]”I didn’t want to format something for Eurovision. It actually came out of the sessions leading up to the next album. It would fit into the overall aesthetic I’ve been working on for a few months. . It will have a special resonance.”
Mustii went on to explain the potential of his song choices:
“What I choose has the potential to develop on a big stage like Eurovision. Like the album, this is going to be very personal and definitely the best I’ve ever done. It’s going to be one of the most personal things I’ve ever done. Even if it takes a few days, in a month you’ll know everything.”
At the conclusion of the question, he explained the social, personal and artistic significance of competing in Eurovision:
“The reason I entered artistic professions like film, acting, and music was to experience the extraordinary and never stay in my comfort zone. , and a great way to meet other artists is to take part in Eurovision. “This is a great platform where you can present your projects to an audience that you wouldn’t normally have access to. I want to be proud. Of course I We always aim for first place, but above all, we want our performances to be impactful, moving, and fair, both artistically and aesthetically.”
