MANILA, Philippines — The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) announced on Monday that its mobile app is now accessible to more than 14,000 pensioners residing in the United States and Singapore.
GSIS President and General Manager Wick Veloso said pensioners in both countries will use the app to meet proof-of-life requirements, known as Annual Pensioner Information Reverification (APIR), and other transactions. He said he could.
“We are encouraging our members and pensioners to use GSIS Touch for their transactions. In response to our desire for overseas pensioners to experience our innovative and convenient service, we are introducing this We have made the service available to you,” Veloso said in a statement released by GSIS.
GSIS explained that pensioners must comply with APIR in order to continue receiving benefits, and the mobile app eliminates the need to physically visit a GSIS office.
Additionally, the state pension provider said pensioners can check the latest loan repayment schedule through the app.

GSIS has 18,000 Filipino pensioners worldwide, 78% of whom reside in the United States and Singapore.
“After expanding the app’s reach to pensioners in the United States and Singapore, GSIS is already working on rolling it out to pensioners residing in other parts of the world, including Europe, the Middle East and Canada,” the official said. said.

However, while the GSIS mobile app is not yet available in other countries, pension providers have advised beneficiaries to use alternative modes such as Skype, Messenger and Viber to comply with APIR.
The GSIS Touch app was launched in the Philippines during the 2020 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. It allows members and pensioners to access their records, generate interim calculations, apply for loans and claims, and track premium remittances and loan payments.
The app is available for download in the Philippines through Google Play Store and Apple Store.
