1Spatial, a global leader in location master data management (LMDM) software and solutions, has signed a three-year contract with a large distribution system operator for electricity and gas networks in Belgium following a competitive tender.
The agreement is for geospatial data processing services, and will see 1Spatial’s 1Integrate product used for proprietary data quality control and data validation capabilities, alongside 1Spatial’s geospatial data generation services.
1Spatial helps utilities build digital twins of their distribution networks, improving the quality and accuracy of their geospatial data. The project will enable utilities to carry out a wide range of activities, including distribution network management, connection construction and repairs, more efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring the safety of their teams and customers.
The total value of the agreement with 1Spatial is EUR 9 million, of which 1Spatial will provide EUR 4.1 million, including EUR 300,000 in term software license revenue. 1Spatial will engage its partners to carry out the remaining works, totaling €4.9 million, over a three-year contract period.
