Night 4 is coming to an end, which means Sanremo week is almost over. But not before the infamous cover night!
Every year at the Sanremo Festival, an evening is dedicated to artists performing covers of songs. This year, artists were able to select a song of their choice and choose to perform it as a solo act or as a duet with an Italian artist or a nationally acclaimed artist.
Including all the guests, 172 artists performed on the Sanremo stage tonight.
This year, all 30 artists took to the stage to cover a variety of songs and medleys. From Italian classics to international hits and even old songs from Sanremo and Eurovision, all 30 of his artists put on a great show tonight.
Tonight’s performances were ranked and at the end the top five of the night were announced. The vote consisted of his three parts: a press jury (33%), a radio jury (33%), and a television vote (34%). Below you’ll see who made the top five, as well as the songs and medleys played tonight.

Well, tomorrow is the 5th night (final night). Each artist will perform their songs again with the aim of advancing to the super finals. The five artists who made it to the Super Final will sing their songs one last time before a new vote will be held to decide who will take home the crown at Sanremo in 2024, and at Eurovision this May. You will be given the opportunity to represent Italy. Fiorello will serve as co-host.

This year’s Sanremo Festival will feature five live shows at Sanremo’s iconic Ariston Theater, all hosted by Amadeus with various co-organizers.
- Night 1: Tuesday, February 6th
All songs were performed live on the first night. To determine the outcome of night one, votes were taken only from the media jury (TV jury and online jury). Co-host: Marco Mengoni (Italy, 2013 and his 2023).
- Night 2: Wednesday, February 7th
The second night saw half of the acts take to the stage again to perform their songs. Voting this evening consisted of 50% of the radio jury and 50% of the public vote. Co-host: Giorgia.
- Night 3: Thursday February 8th
The third night saw the remaining songs that did not participate in the second night. Voting was the same as Wednesday (night 2). Co-host: Teresa Mannino.
- Night 4: Friday 9th February
On the fourth night, 30 artists each performed a cover of a different song. Artists can perform this song solo or with guest artists of Italian or international acclaim. Co-host: Lorella Cuccarini.
- Night 5: Saturday February 10th
The fifth and final night! All 30 songs will be performed one last time. Her five songs for the Super Final will be chosen by combining the public vote from night 5 with the results from the previous night. The vote is then split between the public vote (34%), the press jury (33%), and the radio jury (33%). The winner will have the right to represent Italy at Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Italy participates in Eurovision Song Contest
Italy has participated in the Eurovision contest 48 times. They have won his three championships.
Their worst result was in 1966, when they finished in last place.
The best known song in Italy is “Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu”, also known as “Volare” from 1958. The song is also the most covered song of all time at the Eurovision Song Contest. The song has been covered by famous stars such as Dean Martin, Cliff Richard, and David Bowie.
Italy took a long hiatus from the Eurovision Song Contest between 1998 and 2010. Since then, Italy has become a “Big 5” country. This means you will automatically qualify for the Eurovision Song Contest without having to pass the semi-finals. Grand final.
