simple idea
While this is certainly one of my favorite ways to fly, there are a few things to keep in mind.
- These benefits cannot be changed or canceled. That’s too bad.
- Earning KrisFlyer miles in Singapore is super easy.. You can migrate from Amex, Chase, Citi, and Capital One.
- For Air Canada Aeroplan, the same route costs only 60,000. Unlike other Star Alliance partners, Air Canada has access to extensive availability in Singapore. I mention this because you can book this route almost cheaply through Air Canada Aeroplan (for a price of 60,000 yen; did it Changes or cancellations will cost CAD 150 per passenger). And, of course, its price does not depend on flights during February. Aeroplan is a transfer partner for Amex, Chase, and Capital One.
- Singapore CarFlyer has a strict expiration policy. Miles are valid for 3 years.Use it or lose it when relocating to Singapore
- Other routes also on sale. If you’re looking for deals that connect the dots between other regions served by Singapore, the sale might be worth considering.
- Not everyone likes Singapore Airlines seats. Personally, I like the wide width and padding. However, unlike other business class seats, they cannot recline until completely flat. To convert the seat into a flat bed you have to fold the seat back forward, so if you want a bed he’s not 100% flat or even close to flat. Again, I like it, but I know others who really like tweaking their recline preferences don’t.
That said, this deal is clearly worth a look if you’re planning a trip to Frankfurt next month, or on another route served by Singapore. I took this route last year and love the food and service in Singapore, so I wouldn’t hesitate to use it as a starting point for my European trip. However, as someone who doesn’t play winter sports, I personally think so. Europe will be skipping February.
