During the week, tourists from north to south visit the most famous cities, such as Ivrea, to celebrate. (40 percent)Mamoada (26 percent) and venice (25 percent)booking rates on online platforms are above the national average.
Flight bookings in the first half of February show growth in this sector (up 8% compared to 2023), particularly in the international segment (up 12% compared to 2023). Rome (31 percent) and Milan (30 percent) are the main airport cities, followed by Venice (7 percent) and Catania (7 percent). The mission’s conclusion is that the Via Francigena has been confirmed as the most well-known religious road in 2023 with almost 400,000 online searches, ahead of the Via Salento (58,000 searches) and the Via Oropa. (41,000 cases). The growth in paths for San Benedetto is interesting (37,000), with searches almost doubling compared to 2022.
