Spain’s trade union CCOO criticized Grupo Bimbo’s decision to close its manufacturing facility in the country’s southeast.
In a statement published online, CCOO said the Mexico-based baking giant had “notified worker representatives” about the plan.
According to the union, 90 people are employed at the factory in El Vergel, a town near Alicante.
The CCOO said it “rejects the decision and is already considering the schedule for the demonstration.”
