Accrington-based, highly acquisitive ground transport and accommodation management company CMAC Group has itself been acquired by Singapore-listed ground transport group ComfortDelGro Corporation through its CityFleet Networks subsidiary .
Last July, CMAC completed the acquisition of a Netherlands-based aviation services and accommodation partner, marking its fourth acquisition in a year.
CMAC operates in the UK, France, Spain, Portugal, Greece and the Netherlands, managing the journeys of nearly 3 million travelers a year on behalf of airlines, ground crews, rail operators, businesses and consumers. Masu.
CMAC offers private and shared transportation to more than 500 airports, stations and ports around the world through its Suntransfers brand.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, is in line with ComfortDelGro’s strategy to expand its point-to-point mobility services and offerings, expanding the group’s footprint to 12 countries around the world.
In the UK, Mobility Group owns and operates taxis and private hire cars through its CityFleet network in Aberdeen, Liverpool and the North West region. It also operates Metroline buses and Westbus coaches in London, Adventure Travel buses and coaches in Wales, as well as Megabus and Citylink intercity bus services in Scotland and Ireland.
CMAC will maintain its operational independence and will be led by its current senior team, including CEO Peter Slater. CMAC continues to work with its existing valued customers and supply partners.
