A new Italian restaurant recently opened in downtown Wellen Park, a master-planned community in Sarasota County. It is operated by the same owners as several other eateries in Sarasota and Charlotte counties.
Acqua Pazza Coastal Italian is now open at 19750 Wellen Park Blvd. Unit D in Downtown Wellen. This is the latest concept from brothers David and Dennis Valentino and partner Mark Costanzo and D&D Restaurant Group.
D&D also operates The Banyan House, a restaurant in downtown Wellen serving modern American cuisine with lakeside views, and The Yard, a restaurant serving modern American cuisine with lakeside views, and The Yard, a restaurant in a converted shipping container. We operate Crow & Co., Ltd. That list also includes Bocca Lupo Coal Fired Pizza at the Wellen Park store. Prime serious steaks from Venice and Port Charlotte. There is also Donato’s Italian Restaurant in Port Charlotte.

“Acqua Pazza celebrates the unique flavors and experiences of the Italian coast,” David Valentino said in a statement. “From the décor to the menu to the inviting atmosphere, we have captured the magic of this special corner of the world.”
Open for lunch and dinner, Acqua Pazza’s menu features entrees such as lasagna bolognese, lobster ravioli, and osso buco, as well as a variety of pasta, seafood, and other entrees, including appetizers, soups, salads, focaccia panini sandwiches, and desserts. Includes cooking.
There is also a full liquor bar serving cocktails, an extensive Italian wine list, wines on tap, and draft and bottled beers. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating for up to 150 people, with an atmosphere reminiscent of the blue Amalfi Coast and sun-drenched golden Amalfi Coast.
