After five months, the wait is finally over. Musti, who participated in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest from Belgium, has officially released her song.before the party” It’s over. Belgium will appear in the second half of the second semi-final on May 9, 2024, where they will face the following teams: Norway, estonia, Netherlands and Israel. There are currently 16 countries participating in the semi-finals, 10 of which will qualify for the grand final to be held in Malmö, Sweden on May 11th. France, Italy and Spain will vote and present their entries in this semi-final.
About the artist
Musti is a stage name Thomas Mastin, a 33-year-old singer-songwriter from Brussels, has been active in the industry since the end of 2014. Musti was first announced for the contest in July and he has been working on his entry ever since. In addition to music, Musti, who identifies as queer, is also known for being a judge on Drag Race Belgium and performing in several musical acts. His sexuality plays an important role in his work, mirroring that of his previous Belgian participant, Gustav.
Gustav finished seventh in Liverpool with the song ‘Because of You’ and RTBF appear to have ambitions to repeat the same result in Malmö. He and Musti met after the latter’s selection, and the former gave him Eurovision tips and tricks. Every little preparation helps.
