Belgium has pledged to provide 611 million euros ($665 million) in military aid to Ukraine in 2024. Said Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov after a telephone conversation with Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder on January 22.
The announcement was significant because this figure exceeded the total of 496 million euros ($540 million) that Belgium has provided to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war.
Belgium has allocated 1.7 billion euros ($1.8 billion) to support Ukraine until the end of 2025, according to the Belgian government’s foreign ministry website.
Belgium is one of the 11 founding countries of the Fighter Alliance. Establishment In July, the aim is to train Ukrainians to fly F-16s.

He added: “We are grateful to the Belgian Air Force Capability Coalition, especially for its participation in the pilot training program.”
