On January 28, China and Thailand signed a visa exemption agreement in Bangkok, further facilitating travel between the two countries.
The China-Thailand agreement is scheduled to enter into force on March 1, 2024.
This development follows another important agreement signed between China and Singapore in Beijing on January 25, granting visa exemptions to ordinary passport holders.
The Singapore-China agreement is scheduled to come into force on February 9, 2024, on the eve of Lunar New Year.

In anticipation of an increase in international travel from China, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) announced the addition of 2,500 international flights to various destinations in Asia, including Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.
An additional 600 flights will be operated from China to Thailand from January 26 to March 5.
From March onwards, we expect flight frequencies to increase significantly and prices to adjust accordingly.
This surge in Chinese tourists to Thailand, coupled with increased flights, points to a clear trend in early 2024.
