The Tianwen-1 mission also included a solar-powered rover called Zhurong.the Successful landing China has become the second country to operate a rover on Mars.
Zhurong completed his main mission and continued expanded exploration efforts in the vast plains of Utopia Planitia. It was expected to go into hibernation in May 2022 and wake up in December of the same year.
However, China has not been able to contact the rover since it went dormant. It is believed that the vehicle’s solar array failed. Covered by more Martian dust than expectedIt will not be able to generate the power needed to restart.
