Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and IFALPA to collaborate on pilot aviation safety training and capacity building

Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (C.A.A.S.) and the International Federation of Airline Pilot Associations (Ifalpa) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate in aviation safety training and capacity building.

This partnership will help aviation professionals gain the ability to manage safety challenges and improve aviation safety standards. The MOU was signed on the sidelines of the Changi Air Summit by CAAS Secretary-General Hung Quoc Huang and IFALPA Chairman Colonel Amolungvai Mansmichai.

Under this Memorandum of Understanding, CAAS and IFALPA will cooperate to:

• We will jointly develop and jointly implement aviation safety training programs and jointly hold seminars and workshops. These will begin with important current issues such as runway safety, human factors, and safety culture, and will expand to cover other emerging issues in the future.
• Build a pool of instructors and resource personnel to co-develop or co-implement aviation safety programs.and
• Leverage existing and new support platforms to promote aviation safety and establish a strong, positive safety culture within the aviation community.
