François Cornet Delzius, Ambassador of Belgium to Cairo, and Waleid Gamal El Dien, Chairman of the Suez Canal Economic Zone Directorate General (SCZONE), met to discuss new aspects of cooperation, including green fuel projects.
On February 7, SCZONE announced that it had received Mr. Delzius within the framework of enhanced cooperation. The visit coincided with SCZONE’s promotional activities targeting several destinations, including continental Europe, to introduce and attract new investments in the targeted sectors.
On this occasion, Eldien said that SCZONE is working with key international partners around the world to localize the green fuel industry not only through manufacturing but also through ship bunkering and export.
He added that SCZONE will conduct a promotional tour to Belgium to discuss investment opportunities available in the targeted areas, particularly green fuel projects and its feed industry.

When it comes to green fuel cooperation with European partners, note SCZONE’s recent $1.1 billion bunkering agreement with Norwegian renewable energy solutions provider Scatec, as well as a cooperation agreement with the Dutch delegation of Royal Netherlands Embassy officials worth it.
