Coscos, a joint venture between Chinese shipping giant Cosco Shipping and Italian shipping group Fratelli Cosulich, has acquired Novara-based logistics company Trasgo.
Trasgo holds an important global position in integrated logistics, offering a wide range of services including transportation, warehousing, customs clearance, cargo handling, trade fair logistics and warehousing directly at customer facilities. Founded in 1981 in Novara, Italy, the company initially focused on independent transportation activities.
Throughout its evolution, the company has expanded its footprint, opened new offices, and continually innovated its service offering as the industry evolves. The company currently boasts 14 warehouse facilities, covering approximately 300,000 square meters and supported by over 320 trucks and handling units.
Headquartered in Italy, Trasgo offers a comprehensive suite of solutions across a variety of sectors, including industrial, promotional, technology and e-commerce logistics. The company’s transportation services cover domestic and international routes and incorporate air, sea and land transportation options.
“Our main objective has always been the growth of the company, and that growth is done with care not to distort the principles and values that have always guided our approach to our employees, customers and suppliers. Trasgo has undergone many developments, especially in the last 15 years, a development that today requires new lymphatic fluids in an increasingly international panorama. We are based on the same principles and values. We have taken this decision after careful evaluation and consideration because we are confident that the promoted Coscos Group is the right partner to make Trasgo a reality, and that the entire “family” should continue to develop further. ” said Anna Ida Russo, Managing Director of Trasgo.
