There were 3 ski days left from February 1st to 3rd. Today’s sunny weather made Verbier a priority. The long north-facing off-piste course leading up to Tortin can be difficult in poor visibility. Today we had great weather up to the precipitation line of 2,400 meters from January 17th to 18th, which we observed in Val d’Isère. But most of Verbier’s off-piste was smooth. It must have been more protected from the wind.
We chose Courmayeur on a cloudy Thursday with a smaller footprint area where we weren’t expecting to ski off-piste. Partly sunny Friday turned completely sunny in La Thuile/La Rosière until 3pm.
