Emirates is expecting 2024 to be a promising year with a surge in outbound bookings to and from Brussels.
In 2023, the company focused on business travel and recorded a peak in economy class passenger numbers during the summer, successfully transporting around 400,000 passengers between Brussels and Dubai. The top destinations for travelers from Brussels were Dubai, Thailand, South Africa, Indonesia and India.
The company predicts that bookings will increase by up to 50% year-on-year for some destinations in 2024, with Dubai, most destinations in the Indian Ocean and destinations in the Far East remaining the most popular among Belgian travelers. We expect it to be very popular.
Emirates plans to continue recruiting cabin crew, with multiple sessions scheduled in Belgium in the first quarter of 2024.
The company will also support various sporting and cultural events in Belgium, including the ATP tennis tournament in Antwerp and the Golf Soudal Open. Emirates has been serving Belgium for 10 years and remains committed to providing a world-class travel experience. The airline supports the local economy by transporting goods such as medicine, fresh produce and valuables, and by operating passenger and cargo operations. In 2023, Emirates transported approximately 17,000 tonnes of goods from Brussels and Liege to various international markets.
