The first baby to arrive in Spain in 2024 has been announced. Two beautiful baby girls were born at the exact same time, but in different regions.
Carme and Bella were both born at 12:03 AM, Carme in Manacor, Mallorca and Bella in Zaragoza.
Carme Ballester Catany, born at 12:03 am in Manacor Hospital (Mallorca), weighing 3.2 kg, has been chosen as Spain’s first child of 2024. According to a report from the Balearic Islands Health Authority, the girl is the daughter of Isabel Catany and Joan Toni Ballester, a couple from Llucmayor.
At exactly the same time in Aragon, and therefore also receiving this title, Vera was born at the Miguel Serve University Hospital in Zaragoza. Bella Escolano Navarro, the daughter of Maria Teresa and Carlos, was born weighing 3,050 kilograms, according to a report from the Aragonese government.
Carme is the couple’s second daughter, and they have another daughter who will turn 3 next February. She said the newborn and the mother are in good condition.
In Andalusia, the first baby of the year was a girl, Arabia, who was born at 12:40 a.m. at San Agustín Hospital in Linares (Jaen). Her parents are called Alicia and Emilio Jesús and she is the eldest child in her family. According to Ministry of Health officials, the baby was 52 centimeters tall and weighed 3.8 kilograms.
These names will definitely be trending in 2024.
