The Mayor of Flavortown announced today that he is bringing a brand new concept to Columbus, Ohio.
That’s right – world-renowned restaurateur, chef, author (and apparently mayor?) Guy Fieri will open his first-ever Italian restaurant in Scioto Downs this spring.
His new restaurant will serve classic Italian cuisine “with a Fieri-inspired twist,” the press release said. “Coming from an Italian family, classic Italian-American cuisine has always been a part of my life, and I’m excited to bring those authentic flavors to Scioto Downs,” Fieri explained. did.

Apparently, his idea of classic Italian-American cuisine includes 68 layers of homemade lasagna. The menu also includes primetime meatballs, pasta fagiolo, chicken he parmigiana, and other pastas and pizzas.
Conveniently located just steps from the Scioto Downs gaming floor, the concept features old-fashioned features such as textured glass screens, rustic wood finishes, open pizza and pasta preparation stations, a gallery wall, and a lounge-like bar. It encapsulates the Italian atmosphere. According to a press release.
Scioto Downs Racino is located at 6000 South High St. An exact opening date has not yet been determined, but the yet-to-be-named restaurant is expected to open this spring. Guy Fieri currently operates 17 other restaurants, ranging from tacos to barbecue.
