New Delhi/Gandhinagar, January 6: Singapore, one of the 30 partner countries of the vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS), plans to increase investment in Gujarat through its own companies. Gujarat’s green economy and sustainability sector is a key focus area for Singaporean companies to expand their investments. The official announcement will be made at VGGS to be held in Gandhinagar from January 9th to 12th, 2024.
Gujarat is an important investment destination for Singaporean companies, making us one of the state’s largest investors. Simon Wong leads the Singapore delegation
Singapore will be represented at VGGS by a delegation of several officials and nearly 100 business representatives. Mr. Simon Wong, High Commissioner of Singapore to India, will lead the delegation and deliver the opening address at the Singapore Seminar to be held on 10 January 2024. Organized by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), Singapore’s apex business chamber, the Singapore Country Pavilion features a diverse range of sectors including technology and innovation, banking and finance, infrastructure and environmental solutions, and diversified sectors. On January 10, the Singapore Country Seminar will be held at the Mahatma Mandir Convention and Exhibition Center in Gandhinagar. The theme of the seminar is “Singapore and India – Working together for a greener and brighter future”. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will also be attending the event and sharing his insights on strengthening India-Singapore ties. A business delegation from Singapore will also share plans to further strengthen economic cooperation.
