From January to November last year, Peru exported 227,273 tons of onions, generating revenue of US$91 million. Spain followed with a 24% share, surpassing Colombia with 41,341 tonnes (valued at US$22 million). Exports to this market increased by 53% in volume and 91% in value compared to 2022. The price also rose by 24%, reaching USD 0.53 per kilogram, making it one of the highest prices on the European market.

Colombia was in third place with 46,425 tonnes worth US$10 million, a decrease of 22% in volume and 23% in value compared to the previous year. Prices also fell by 2% to $0.22 per kilogram.
