New Delhi, February 12: Seventy-one members of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Saran Helicopter Exhibition Team have landed at Paya Lebar Air Base in Singapore to participate in the 2024 Singapore Air Show. It is noteworthy that the Saran Helicopter Display Team was formed in 2003 and its first international performance took place at the 2004 Asian Air and Space Show in Singapore. Initially formed and developed as a three-helicopter fleet, the Saran team now boasts a thrilling display of five helicopters and more than 1,200 exhibits at over 385 venues around the world. going.

Designed and conceived by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, the ‘Dhruv’ helicopter is an all-weather and multi-mission capable helicopter. It has a rigid, unhinged rotor, making it highly maneuverable and suitable for military roles. The ALH variant flown by the Saran team is the ALH MK-I. Other variants include ALH Mk-II, ALH MK-IIII, and the latest variant is the armed ALH MK IV.
