Inter Milan likens Belgian star to former Chelsea legend

Must read

Inter Milan are reportedly keeping a close eye on the development of young goalkeeper Tove Reissen from Oud-Heverlee Leuven.

Tuttosport (via) FcInterNews) adds further weight to this story and underlines Inter’s desire to sign the Belgian goalkeeper in the summer.

A Turin-based newspaper reports that Inter sent Samir Handanovic to scout Raisen during their recent match against Standard Liege.

The former Nerazzurri captain retired at the end of last season but remains at the club.

The Slovenian is currently assisting the Serie A giants in their quest to find a secure guardian who can eventually take over the torch from 35-year-old Jan Sommer.

Leisen joined OH Leuven last summer after playing for Genk. He represented Belgium U21.

His rise has made comparisons with compatriot Thibaut Courtois inevitable. The latter is one of the best shot-stoppers on the planet and is currently traded to Real Madrid. He has been dealing with an injury since the beginning of the season.

Inter are reportedly keen to secure Raisen’s availability before sending him out on loan to gain valuable experience.

The Nerazzurri plan to adopt the same strategy as Brazao, even though the Brazilian is not yet at the desired level.

Nevertheless, the source has warned Serie A leaders of competition from English and German clubs who have also made inquiries for the young Belgian.

This season, Raisen has appeared in 14 games in all competitions. He conceded a total of six goals and kept four clean sheets.
