The political class was briefed on the findings, the report said.
How did Chinese weapons end up in the hands of terrorists in Gaza?
In response to the N12 report, Caris Witte, CEO and founder of Signal Group and expert on China-Israel relations, said it is certainly possible that Chinese weapons ended up in the hands of Palestinian terrorist groups. However, he said it was not purchased directly from China.
“China has an extensive arms industry,” Wette said. “By definition, we are not selling weapons to non-state actors, but we are certainly selling weapons to Chinese countries. [Middle East].
According to Wette, those responsible for the presence of weapons in Gaza are states or Chinese independent forces that illegally sell weapons to groups based in Gaza.
“China’s trade relations with countries in the Middle East, including those sanctioned by Western countries, are well known,” he added. “There is no way such weapons could fall into the wrong hands.
He added that Israel “needs to check this matter with the Chinese authorities.”
