Italy’s CONSOB orders blocking of access to five unauthorized investment websites

Must read

The Italian Commission for Business and Trade (CONSOB) has issued an order blocking access to five unauthorized investment websites.

In issuing the order, the authorities used their powers under the “Government Decree” (“Growth Decree”, Law No. 58 of June 28, 2019, Article 36, Paragraph 2, Paragraph 3). Consob can order internet service providers to block access from Italy to websites offering financial services without proper authorization.

The following websites were the subject of recent orders:

  • “Global Trade Group” (website https://global-trade-group.com and related pages https://cfd.global-trade-group.com).
  • “Tide Technologies Group” (website https://tidetechnologiesgroup.world);
  • “TRETORO” (website https://tretoro.co)
  • FinaltoLTD Global Limited and FinaltoLTD Markets (Pty) Ltd (websites https://finaltoltd.com and related pages https://client.finaltoltd.com and https://trade.finaltoltd.com).
  • “Premium Capitals” (website https://premiumcptls.co).

The number of blacked out websites has increased to 1024 since July 2019, when Consob gained the power to order the blackout of fraudulent financial intermediary websites.

The blackout of these websites by internet service providers operating in the Italian territory continues. Due to technical reasons, blocks may take several days to be implemented.
