Despite seeming like a predetermined path given her family history, Laila’s foray into modeling wasn’t always a foregone conclusion. Growing up, Laila did not consider her modeling work as a career option. She was initially against modeling because she thought her mother wanted to protect her from the pitfalls of the modeling industry. However, Kate’s view of Lila changed when her Moss agency was launched in 2016, providing a safer environment for Lila to explore modeling work under the guidance of her mother. Ta.
Kate Moss’s first concerns with the world of modeling helped form the character of Lyra. Her Lyra describes herself as shy and introspective, and she acknowledges the responsibilities she carries, perhaps more so than her mother at her age. In 2024, Laila moves from her hometown of London to New York. She is enjoying her newfound independence and appreciates the vibrancy of life in a city that offers her a supportive community.
