Despite seeming like a predetermined path given her family history, Laila’s foray into modeling wasn’t always a foregone conclusion. Growing up, Laila did not consider her modeling work as a career option. She was initially against modeling because she thought her mother wanted to protect her from the pitfalls of the modeling industry.
