Man flies to Serbia after wife disappears in Spain during ‘bad’ divorce in Broward

Must read

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – David and Ana Knezevic were married for about 13 years. They lived in a house in Fort Lauderdale and ran a computer support business together. She also worked in real estate.

Earlier this month, when she disappeared in Spain and he traveled to his native Serbia, her parents described the divorce in Broward County as “painful” and “terrible.”

Ana Knezevic’s brother Felipe Henao and her best friend Sanna Ramo fear foul play.

Detectives have not named David Knezewicz as a suspect or person of interest, but they would like to speak with him but have not been able to reach him.

A man was reported to have used black spray paint to jam surveillance cameras at the Madrid building where Ana Knezevic had been living since late last year.

Henao and Rameau said they also received very strange text messages from her phone, which they were convinced were clearly not written by her and were out of character.

Rameau said she had traveled with her best friend before and it was uncharacteristic of her to disappear before a planned trip. She was scheduled to fly to Barcelona.

Henao and Ramo called her husband and asked him to help with the search, but he refused.

Relatives said detectives in Fort Lauderdale and Madrid both had cold cases, but the language barrier prevented them from getting much help. They asked anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the U.S. Department of State at 1-888-407-4747.
