Mal Garcellin, 46, is Spain’s first MP with Down syndrome. A symbol of perseverance and determination, Ms. Garcellan has dedicated her life to serving others and has held various positions in public service. She is a shining example of what can be achieved with her hard work and determination.
Garceran’s journey began with vocational training at the Altaviana School of Hospitality and Tourism in Valencia. Since then, she has worked as a home technician and kindergarten assistant. Her commitment to public service spans 26 yearsHe served as a substitute at the Presidential Palace in Valenciana for 13 years, and from 2010 Sabaltana (acting on behalf of) Conseleria de Bienestar Social (Welfare Council), Conselleria de Igualdad y Políticas Inclusivas (Equality and Inclusion Council), and now Conselleria de Sanidad y Salud Publica (Public Health Council).
Before being selected by Colts Valencianes, Garceran served as Minister for Persons with Disabilities in the PPCV. In this role, She advocated for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. Garcellan’s passion for serving others and her unwavering belief in the power of perseverance make her a role model for people with and without disabilities.
