Around 950,000 households in Singapore living in HDB flats will receive U-Save and Service and Management Charge (S&CC) rebates in January 2024. These rebates reduce the GST burden and provide cost-of-living assistance to low- to moderate-income households. Rebates are paid in April, July, October, and January each year. This will be his fourth quarterly expenditure in fiscal year 2023.

2. In 2023, eligible households will receive double the normal U-Save rebate, and from January 2024, quarterly U-Save rebates will be applied to reduce the impact of carbon tax and water rate increases. On average, the U-Save provided in 2023 will be equivalent to approximately 8-10 months of utility bills for households living in 1- and 2-room HDB flats, and approximately 8-10 months of utility bills for households living in 3-room HDB flats.
