Singapore. Lotte Duty Free today celebrates the grand re-opening of its Central Duplex Store in Changi Airport Terminal 3.
The Moody David Report will be on-site for the event, which will culminate with a dinner tonight at Jewel Cloud9 Piazza.
The first image appears below. A full follow-up report by Martin Moodie will be published soon.
Lotte Duty Free “ushers in a new era of innovation and luxury in travel retail,” he said.
The store said the reimagined store will offer a series of novel experiences featuring “cutting-edge elements” and exclusive products, ensuring an “unparalleled shopping experience” for Changi passengers.
This duplex store has a towering presence in the heart of Terminal 3’s transit area.
From the all-glass facade, Lotte’s diverse products and innovatively designed interior can be seen from a distance.
A dazzling 8-meter LED media wall invites travelers into the store.
{This short video shows some of the ground floor offers in the duplex. Stay tuned for upcoming films filmed on both levels that will further showcase this impressive and engaging shopping experience.}
{And now it’s time to go upstairs. Interestingly, champagne, wine and baijiu are placed on the second floor to attract shoppers, which is always a challenge in two-story stores.}

suntory house
Terminal 3 Departure Central Duplex Store is home to the world’s first shop-in-shop boutique, inspired by the House of Suntory, a unique embodiment of Japanese art and culture.
This space features a wide selection of premium spirits, including the 100th anniversary limited release Hibiki 21 Year Old and the region’s first Toki Whiskey release.

This shop-in-shop is inspired by Hennessy’s famous savoir-faire and features light, curved lines reminiscent of oak planks carved by coppersmiths.

Another shop-in-shop will introduce a symphony of cutting-edge digital experiences, featuring “revolutionary” 3D screens, state-of-the-art digital sommeliers and personalized interactions.
This area is anchored by the first-ever Penfolds 3D screen, allowing patrons to immerse themselves in an enchanting visual adventure created exclusively for the Lotte T3 store. The immersive video content is designed to enhance the wine brand’s ‘Beyond’ experience and encapsulate Penfolds’ fearless approach to uncovering the hidden realms of winemaking.
As reported, this is a collaboration with Australian artist Michaela Stafford and is designed to bring this underwater realm to life.
To celebrate the store opening, Penfolds has unveiled a themed gondola showcasing its 2023 gift collection inspired by the mysteries of the sea.

The French house’s shop-in-shop introduces a multi-category boutique, the first of its kind at Changi Airport, with a large selection of blended Scotch and single malts.
