Leading Spanish retailer PC Componentes announces release date for MSI Claw
MSI Claw is now priced in Spain.
As mentioned earlier, the upcoming MSI Claw handheld will be equipped with Intel’s latest Meteor Lake processors, namely the Core Ultra 7 155H or Core Ultra 5 135H. These processors are designed for mobile applications and have a power target of 28W. The main difference between these SKUs is in the CPU and GPU specifications, with a choice of 16 CPU cores and 8 GPU Xe cores, or 14 CPU cores and 7 GPU Xe cores.
The Claw marks Intel’s entry into the gaming handheld market and the first gaming system to feature the Xe-LPG graphics architecture in such a device, and its debut is highly anticipated. means. If this device fails to impress gamers, MSI may have to reevaluate its plans for a successor, especially given the existing options for AMD hardware. A successor is reportedly already in development.
MSI has officially confirmed through its US store that there are at least three versions of the Claw. One has a 155H or 135H CPU and offers 512GB or 1TB storage options. However, Spanish retailers currently list only the 155H version with both storage options as available.
MSI claw price:
- Core Ultra 7 155H + 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD: $799.99 / 929 euros
- Core Ultra 7 155H + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD: $749.99 / €879
- Core Ultra 5 135H + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD: $699.99 / ?
PC Components has both 512GB and 1TB options available for pre-order now. The 1TB version costs 979 euros, while the 512GB version costs 879 euros. These prices are in line with expected rates in the European market. Taking into account Spain’s 21% VAT, the retailer appears to have an additional €30 margin on these sales. As of now, there is no sign of the Core Ultra 5 version, which is expected to be the most budget-friendly option.
As a side note, April Fool’s Day in Spain is not April 1st. Instead, the country designated December 28th as “Holy Innocence Day” for jokes. With that in mind, it looks like the MSI Claw pricing and release date information is no joke.
