Belgian artist Musti today released the song “Before the Party’s Over”, which will represent Belgium at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö.
The song was premiered tonight on Belgian radio station Viva Cité in Australia, but some eagle-eyed fans got a sneak preview after the song was unexpectedly played on RTBF radio station Tipik two days before its scheduled release. I got it.
“Before the Party’s Over” was written by Musti himself, who collaborated with songwriters Pierre Dumoulin (known to fans for his previous Belgian Eurovision entries “City Lights” and “Wake Up”) and Nina Sampelmans (” “Tout l’univers”, “Bridge”). as As part of the project, Mustii invited Eurovision fans to submit their voices as part of the chorus, which can be heard throughout the last minute of the song.
Musti was the first artist announced to participate in Eurovision 2024, with RTBF announcing his selection in August 2023.
The 32-year-old Brussels-based artist has released two EPs and two albums, 21st Century Boy (2018) and Mustii (2023), the latter of which topped the Belgian charts. It peaked at 4th place. A recent single from their self-titled second album is “It’s Happening Now.”
But for many Eurovision fans, Musti will be best known for his role as a regular judge and panelist on Drag Race Belgique, the Belgian version of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Belgium will compete in the second semi-final of Eurovision 2024, scheduled to be broadcast on May 9, 2024 (May 10, 2024 in Australia).
