This new World War II film, set in Antwerp, Belgium, tells the story of an auxiliary police officer working during the Nazi occupation. The film was first announced to be coming to Netflix via the January 2024 New on Netflix newsletter. This also includes the original name His WIL title, but WIL has been replaced with His Two L’s in the Netflix UI.
The film, based on the novel by Jeroen Olyslaegers, first had a limited theatrical release in September 2023, but has been scooped by Netflix and will debut as a Netflix Original in late January 2024. According to Netflix, the official logline is:for intention:
“Two young police officers find themselves torn between cooperation and resistance while navigating Nazi-occupied Antwerp during World War II.”
