NuGen Medical signs distribution agreement for InsuJet in Belgium

NuGen Medical Devices has signed a five-year distribution agreement with Verrue Consulting Group for its Belgian needle-free InsuJet device.

InsuJet is designed to enhance the delivery of subcutaneous therapeutics to patients with diabetes, aiming to improve care delivery and patients’ quality of life. It has been approved for sale as a medical device in Belgium.

Effective December 17, 2023, Verrue is an official distributor of NuGen’s InsuJet devices.

NuGen expects the partnership to generate $2.4 million in revenue if the 7,300 device goal is achieved during the term of the agreement.

The company expects a gross profit of 72% from this transaction.

Distribution channels include clinics, online platforms, pharmacies, and local distributors. Sales training for the InsuJet device was completed by Verrue last month.

NuGen CCO Karen Dunlap said: “We are pleased to introduce Verrue, the distributor of InsuJet needle-free syringes in Belgium.

“The company’s experienced sales team will partner with self-employed nurse/diabetes educators who will provide training and sales along with after-sales support to showcase the benefits, features and benefits of InsuJet for patients. ”

Verrue has identified a potential market of 770,000 people with type 1 diabetes in Belgium, which will be the initial focus of InsuJet’s sales.

To support these efforts, Verrue plans to leverage its network of self-employed nurses and diabetes educators. This strategic partnership is expected to have a significant impact on the diabetes care landscape in Belgium.

Verrue General Manager Johan Verrue said: “As a NuGen distributor, the Belgian is excited to revolutionize the Belgian diabetes market with InsuJet.

“We called up our network of over 1,600 independent nurses in Belgium alone and started booking some appointments. We are impressed by the difference we can bring to the diabetes market.”
