Mixed martial arts’ Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has announced two new multi-year broadcast deals in Belgium with Play Media and Orange Belgium.
Play Media-owned streaming service GoPlay will broadcast the fights in Dutch and Flemish in the Flemish region, while Orange-owned VOOsport World TV channel will broadcast live UFC content in French in Wallonia.
Both platforms display more than 40 UFC events per year, including all fight nights and numbered events. Some of them will be in Europe, so it will be a prime-time viewing experience for Belgian fans.
In addition to this live coverage, both GoPlay and VOOsport World will offer additional content such as press conferences, weigh-ins, magazine shows and original features.
The previous rights holder for UFC live content in Belgium was the subscription broadcaster Eleven Sports (now owned by global giant DAZN).
The first event to be broadcast on the two platforms was UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs. Walker 2, which took place yesterday (January 14).

The deal comes after Viaplay extended its rights agreement covering the UFC in four Nordic countries (Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland) in a multi-year renewal announced last week.
Earlier this year, Indian broadcasting group Sony Pictures Network (SPN) announced it would extend its contract with UFC until 2028. The renewed agreement, which covers India and the Indian subcontinent, means SPN will retain the rights to broadcast live 42 UFC events. , including 12 numbered pay-per-view shows and 30 UFC Fight Night events, as well as original programming.
In addition, martial arts giant TKO Group, formed from the merger of UFC and World Wrestling Entertainment Promotions, announced in early January that it would be merging the commercial teams of both organizations.
