Italian authorities have condemned the alleged rape of a 13-year-old Italian girl by seven Egyptian immigrants in Sicily. The girl’s boyfriend was reportedly forced to watch two of her immigrants assault her.
“Please, please, don’t hurt me, please let me go,” the unidentified girl said as she was attacked, local newspaper Giornale di Sicilia reported. She was allegedly attacked in a public toilet in Catania, a seaside town on the island’s southeast coast.
According to local newspapers, the girl had to identify her attackers in a line-up at the local police station, where she identified two of the men but did not name the others, saying: “I haven’t seen it either,” he said. She wants to indict the innocent. ”
Matilde Siracusano, a member of Italy’s lower house of parliament, said such rapes and assaults are bound to happen because Italy has experienced a huge influx of immigrants in recent years.
