The ICA warned travelers not to bring prohibited items such as firecrackers, “pop-pop” weapons, e-cigarettes and vaporizers.
You should also avoid bringing in regulated items such as bakuwa and potted plants.
“Anyone bringing in taxable or regulated items, such as tobacco products, must proactively declare them to staff prior to inspection,” the ICA said.

Drivers of cars registered in Singapore are reminded to abide by the three-quarter tank rule. If you do not comply, you risk being turned away at a checkpoint.
Vehicles will also need a valid Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) as applications will no longer be accepted at the checkpoint to facilitate traffic flow.
“Foreign vehicle drivers who cannot present a valid Autopass card, LTA’s VEP approval email and valid insurance will be turned away from Singapore,” the ICA said.
Passports must have at least 6 months left on their expiration date. Singapore permanent residents who have renewed their passports will need to transfer their re-entry permit to their new passport.
Long-term pass holders must notify the ICA or the Ministry of Manpower of any changes to their passport details before entering Singapore.
ICA’s advice is to first check traffic conditions at land checkpoints before embarking on your journey.
This can be done through the Land Transport Authority’s One Motoring website or through the Highway Monitoring and Advisory System installed along the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) and Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).
The ICA also warned motorists not to cut in queues as this could cause traffic congestion and compromise the safety of other motorists.
“If the negligent driver cuts into the queue, he or she will be turned away and forced to queue again,” it added.
