WOHA Architects was tasked with designing an eco-friendly luxury hotel as part of Singapore’s urban landscape, and the results are stunning. The Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel, known locally as the “Jenga” Hotel, will open in June 2023 with an air of luxury and dramatic terraced greenery spanning more than 300% of the building’s footprint.
It features 14,000 square meters of green and water facilities, a high-ceilinged open-air lobby, and is packed with energy-saving features such as rainwater harvesting, solar panel technology, and a biodigester system that generates washing water from waste food.
It features a trendy design using natural wood. The 23-storey hotel is divided into four large terrace environments: Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud.
Dramatic 120-metre green columns rise above the terrace, creating a spectacle of lush vegetation. Mirrored ceilings reflect each unique landscape, from the sparkling pools on the beach to the manicured lawns of the gardens and outdoor spaces that bring in the fresh breeze and natural light.
