Panattoni is expanding its business in Europe by entering the Belgian market. Construction of the first development in Wallonia is scheduled to begin in the autumn.
Mr. Panattoni appointed Jeroen Gerritsen as general manager in Belgium to lead the new business. With major ports and good connections to major European markets such as Germany, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, Belgium plays an important role in the European logistics sector. The country’s location makes it an attractive destination for occupiers to establish multifunctional logistics facilities. There is a growing demand for high-quality, sustainable logistics facilities in Belgium, which is in line with Panattoni’s commitment to make all new developments net-zero carbon by 2025.
Belgium is a central hub for Europe’s logistics sector. By developing sustainable real estate solutions that meet the specific needs of the Belgian market, we contribute to the further development and sustainability of Belgium’s infrastructure and offer our clients the opportunity to establish themselves in this logistics hotspot. We aim to do so.
Robert Dobrzycki, CEO and co-owner of Panattoni Europe, UK and India
To support this expansion, Panattoni has appointed Jolen van Hout as Technical Development Director in Belgium, with further appointments to be made soon.
We are optimistic about the opportunities that the Belgian market offers us and look forward to working locally, building relationships and growing in this dynamic logistics environment. We are pleased to soon be able to introduce a new service offering future-proof, multifunctional business spaces in Belgium.
