CEBU CITY, Philippines — Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama clarified that his recent visit to Singapore was not a vacation but official business, and the city did not spend a penny on it.

He made this known at a press conference held on the same day as the flag-raising ceremony on Monday, January 29th.

According to the city’s Public Information Office (PIO), Lama and businessman Hans See had been planning the trip for quite some time.

“A benchmark in Singapore is a benchmark in Singapore,” the PIO said.

Additionally, the PIO said the llama also toured some areas of Singapore that have flood control and waste management facilities.
