A family from outside Manchester has denied rumors that their son is dating the future Queen of Belgium.
A Belgian newspaper reported that Princess Elizabeth, who is studying at Oxford University, had “become closer” with a young man from Rochdale.
Nicholas Dodd was described as a “civil boy” who was “probably from a wealthy family” and would be a “good choice” for the princess to choose as her spouse.
However, when Mr Nicholas’ family were contacted, they told the Manchester Evening News the rumors were false.

Princess Elisabeth, 21, is the next heir to the Belgian throne and the eldest child of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.
She and Nicholas attend Lincoln University, an affiliate of Oxford University.
