Sigourney Weaver was honored Saturday with the International Goya Award by the Spanish Film Academy, honoring her remarkable career bringing to life “independent, complex and strong female characters.”
The 74-year-old, best known for her role as Ellen Ripley in the Alien series, is the third recipient of the honorary award, which has been previously won by Cate Blanchett and Juliette Binoche since its creation in 2022.
