TSMC opens Kumamoto factory
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will open its first factory in Japan in southwestern Kumamoto Prefecture. The world’s largest chip foundry wants to move production out of Taiwan amid heightened geopolitical uncertainty.
