If you love champagne, Singapore Airlines’ business class experience just got better, as advertised by The MileLion.
Singapore Airlines offers Piper Heidsieck Brut Vintage 2014
Starting January 6, 2024, Singapore Airlines will offer Piper Heidsieck Brut Vintage 2014 in Business Class on all routes where Champagne is served.
Now, I don’t claim to be a wine critic, but this champagne receives very high scores from most experts, and retails for about $100 per bottle, making it one of the most rated. This makes it one of the most expensive champagnes. Business class on any airline.
It’s not yet known how long Singapore Airlines will offer this service, but Singapore Airlines allows you to search the menu and wine list for your flight in advance, so you can always see what will be served on your flight. I think it’s also worth noting that Singapore Airlines is one of the few airlines to offer the same Champagne across its network. It doesn’t matter if you fly from Singapore to Bangkok or New York.
As for the company’s champagne selection, Singapore Airlines offered Piper-Heidsieck Brut Vintage 2012 in business class in late 2021, which was also well received. However, it was eventually switched to Charles Heidsieck and Henriot, and finally to his Brut NV Piper Heidsieck Essenciel Extra.
For champagne lovers, this is objectively the best champagne I’ve seen in Singapore Airlines business class in about two years, and should be quite the treat.
Singapore Airlines offers a great experience
In my opinion, Singapore Airlines is one of the best airline brands in the world and one of the airlines that offers the best business class experience. This is mainly due to this airline’s excellent service, great food (mainly thanks to the “Book the Cook” program), endless entertainment and even free Wi-Fi.
Ironically, I would argue that the weak point of Singapore Airlines’ business class experience is the seats. The airline has some business class seats, but none of them are industry-leading, and seats on long-haul flights require you to sleep at an odd angle and lack padding.
The company plans to introduce a new business class product on its Boeing 777-9 aircraft, with first deliveries currently scheduled for 2026 (though that schedule may shift). I have a feeling that Singapore Airlines will offer something special and I can’t wait. The airline already has one of the best business class products in the world, and you have to imagine that once the new seats are introduced, the overall experience will be in a class of its own.
conclusion
Singapore Airlines has upgraded its Business Class champagne to offer Piper-Heidsieck Brut Vintage 2014 in Business Class on all routes. This is one of the best champagnes in business class on any airline, so it’s definitely a treat.
Are any of you going to be flying business class on Singapore Airlines soon and are looking forward to a drink?
