Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer launches two new UOB co-branded credit cards in Thailand

Must read

singapore airlines krisflyer Members in Thailand can now earn miles faster as the program has just launched New credit card set in partnership with UOB Thailand.

Thailand’s credit card market isn’t exactly great for miles and points enthusiasts. UOB has nearly cornered the market with its products, leaving most other issuers isolated.

The best product so far (and still in my opinion) is the UOB Priviles card, which allows you to collect Priviles at a favorable rate based on your spending on the card.

Today, I noticed a Facebook ad that Singapore Airlines and UOB are holding a new card product launch event at CentralWorld department store this weekend.

The two card products can be found on the UOB website.

Two different cards are available in the new portfolio. mastercard world And a more premium version offered as Mastercard World Elite.

Here’s a comparison of the two cards:

Considering that 1 USD is ~35 THB, the returns on these cards are not bad at all. Of course, SIA/Scoot purchases have the most favorable rates.

The UOB KrisFlyer World Card has an annual fee waived for the first year and subsequent annual fees of 4,000 baht.

The UOB KrisFlyer World Elite Card has an annual fee of 5,000 baht for the first year and 10,000 baht thereafter.

After spending 300,000 baht, your account will be upgraded to KrisFlyer Gold. Members have access to limousine services at participating airports three times a year and lounge access at participating airports six times a year.

As with any credit card, it depends on how much the cardholder expects to spend each year and whether the benefits (other than sign-up bonuses) are large enough to justify the annual fee.

conclusion

Two new Singapore Airlines KrisFly credit card products issued by UOB Thailand are now available for application, with interesting sign-up offers available to eligible applicants.

I think UOB Thailand’s Privimiles card is still more suitable for most people. However, it is very difficult for foreigners to obtain a credit card in Thailand and almost impossible without a work permit. Even if you have an elite visa, banks usually won’t issue you a credit card.
