Singapore Airlines (SIA) has received global re-certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for handling perishables through its Singapore hub. IATA CEIV Fresh recertification is valid for three years from February 1st.
According to a SIA release, nine SIA stations are currently accredited around the world: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Hyderabad, Singapore and Zurich.
SIA’s cargo division, Singapore Airlines Cargo, launched THRUFRESH in 2021. Within this service, Singapore Airlines Cargo has established quality stations by partnering with leading terminal operators and ground handlers based on IATA standards.

THRUFRESH has dedicated cold chain services such as priority lift and handling, rapid ramp conveyance and cold room facilities to protect the integrity of perishables, as well as dry ice replenishment for transshipment at Changi Airport. is also a feature, the release added.
