Hey there, aviation geeks. The roar of fighter jets and awe-inspiring aerial acrobatics are set to return after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.
The 9th Singapore Airshow, Asia’s most influential aviation event, will be officially held at the Changi Exhibition Center from February 20 to 25.
For the first time ever, the airshow will be open to the public for two full days, February 24th and 25th, and has been dubbed the Weekend@Airshow.
This means you and your family can get up close to the wonders of flight, witness breathtaking flight displays by local and international air force teams, and explore the latest advances in aerospace technology.
Tickets for Weekend@Airshow go on sale from January 2, with prices starting from S$34 for adults and S$17 for children aged 3-12. There is also a group package for 4 people for S$240 including parking.
Aerial performances are sure to steal the show, but there’s more to Weekend@Airshow than that.
The first four days of the air show, from February 20 to 23, are reserved for trade visitors, including government officials, military delegations, and top executives from aerospace and defense companies from around the world. For them, the 2024 edition promises a full-fledged comeback, with more than 1,000 companies from more than 50 countries expected to participate.
The 2024 air show will focus on environmental sustainability. A dedicated forum on reducing carbon emissions in the aviation sector will be held, with participants able to offset their travel footprint by purchasing carbon credits.
