An American tourist has been fined S$5,500 (US$4,100) by a Singapore court for assaulting a restaurant manager and hurling profanities at him.
Greg Austin Lin, 54, pleaded guilty in court Monday to additional charges of use of criminal force and verbal abuse. channel news asia report.
A video that went viral last June shows Lin pushing and yelling at the manager of Shashlik Restaurant on Orchard Road after being informed that the kitchen was closed and orders could not be placed. Ta.
At around 9pm on June 18, he arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by the restaurant manager, who identified himself as Tan, who explained that the kitchen was already closed.
The tourist then pushed Mr Tan in the chest, causing him to stumble backwards.
Lin continued to use vulgar language and scream in an act that was caught on surveillance camera footage.
