Singapore has struck a deal to prevent Taylor Swift from performing elsewhere in Southeast Asia, Thailand’s prime minister has claimed.

Sureta Tabisin said she was informed by promoter AEG of an agreement that would prevent Swift from performing any other shows on the Eras tour at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

Speaking at the iBusiness Forum 2024 in Bangkok, he said he had been told the Singapore government would offer him $2 million to $3 million (£1.6 million to £2.4 million) per performance in exchange for exclusive rights to the island. insisted.

Swift was scheduled to perform six sold-out performances at Singapore’s 55,000-seat National Stadium in March.
